Applique Animal Heads

These heads are all based on the same basic design. You can change up the colors to create any kind of animal you want.

Basic Head
- 6 sc in circle
- 2 sc in each
- sc in next, 2 sc in next
- *sc in next 2, 2 sc in next* around
sl st to first to join

Ear (Bear-shaped)
- ch 2
- sc, 2 dc, sc in 2nd ch from hook

-For Lion Ear
- ch 2
- sc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, sc in 2nd ch from hook

Pig Ear
- ch 4
-sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 2 ch. Ch 1, turn.
- dec with first 2 sc, dec with middle and last sc. Ch 1, turn.
- dec
Turn ear sideways to use.

Muzzle (Bear- Shaped)
- ch 2
- 6 sc in 2nd ch
- *sc in next st, 2 sc in next* around
- sc around.
Join with with sl st to first

- For Lion Muzzle
- ch 2
- 6 sc in 2nd ch
- 2 sc in each
-sc around
Join with sl st to first

-For Pig Muzzle
- ch 2
- 6 sc in 2nd ch
- *sc in next st, 2 sc in next* around
- sc around
- sc around
Join With sl st to first

Eye Shadow (For Panda)
- ch 2
- sl st, sc, sl st in 2nd ch from hook

Leo Sign Applique

I made this applique in three parts; the circle, the top of the tail, and the bottom of the tail. Once you make them you can either sew them together before you apply them to your project or just apply the pieces to your project so they look like one piece.

Circle
Ch 11. sl st in first to form a ring. ch 1, *sc in next st. inc in next* around. sl st to first to join. End.

1st Tail Piece
Ch 13, 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 dc in next, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in next 3, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in next, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in next, sc in last. End.

2nd Tail Piece
Ch 13, dc in 3rd ch from hook and next 4 ch. 2 dc in next, dc in next, 2 dc in next 2 ch, dc in last 2 ch. End.
