Mini Pokémon Phone Bobbles

I'm a big Pokésfn fan and wanted a cell phone dangle of a pokeball. I came up with this pattern which makes one the perfect size. I did mine in pink, but you can pick your own color, or of course go with the traditional red. The pattern will be written for a traditional red one.

With red (or the color of your choice):
- 6 sc in ring
- inc around
- inc, sc in next two
- sc around, sl st in first st
Switch to black, ch one
- sc around, sl st to first st
Switch to white, ch one
- sc around, skip the sl st from previous row
- dec, sc in next two
-dec around
Finish off. Close hole

Button:
With white, 5 sc in ring. Sl st to first st, finish.
Take black yarn and whip st 4 times into every sc, then go around again and add one to every sc so it looks circular. Sew onto black strip of pokeball.
Attatch a loop of thin string or strong top to loop onto phone.

Applique Animal Heads

These heads are all based on the same basic design. You can change up the colors to create any kind of animal you want.

Basic Head
- 6 sc in circle
- 2 sc in each
- sc in next, 2 sc in next
- *sc in next 2, 2 sc in next* around
sl st to first to join

Ear (Bear-shaped)
- ch 2
- sc, 2 dc, sc in 2nd ch from hook

-For Lion Ear
- ch 2
- sc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, sc in 2nd ch from hook

Pig Ear
- ch 4
-sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 2 ch. Ch 1, turn.
- dec with first 2 sc, dec with middle and last sc. Ch 1, turn.
- dec
Turn ear sideways to use.

Muzzle (Bear- Shaped)
- ch 2
- 6 sc in 2nd ch
- *sc in next st, 2 sc in next* around
- sc around.
Join with with sl st to first

- For Lion Muzzle
- ch 2
- 6 sc in 2nd ch
- 2 sc in each
-sc around
Join with sl st to first

-For Pig Muzzle
- ch 2
- 6 sc in 2nd ch
- *sc in next st, 2 sc in next* around
- sc around
- sc around
Join With sl st to first

Eye Shadow (For Panda)
- ch 2
- sl st, sc, sl st in 2nd ch from hook

Leo Sign Applique

I made this applique in three parts; the circle, the top of the tail, and the bottom of the tail. Once you make them you can either sew them together before you apply them to your project or just apply the pieces to your project so they look like one piece.

Circle
Ch 11. sl st in first to form a ring. ch 1, *sc in next st. inc in next* around. sl st to first to join. End.

1st Tail Piece
Ch 13, 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 dc in next, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in next 3, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in next, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in next, sc in last. End.

2nd Tail Piece
Ch 13, dc in 3rd ch from hook and next 4 ch. 2 dc in next, dc in next, 2 dc in next 2 ch, dc in last 2 ch. End.

Music Note Apllique

One day I wanted some music note appliques to embellish my g but there were no good free ones so I decided that I would have to make my own, and here they are for you to share. Please give me credit for it and have people come here to get their copy but other than that do with it as you please. Also share pictures of what you do with them. =D

The animal heads were also crocheted by me and that will be in another post.

Quarter Note
-6 sc in circle
-inc around
-1 sc in next, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, sc, sc
-ch 9, turn and sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 7 sts.
sl st same st and next 5 sts.
Fasten off.

Eighth Note
Make a quarter note with stem two sts shorter.
Ch9
sc in 2nd ch from hook. sl st in next 3 sts, dc in next 3 sts, *hdc, ch 1, sl st, ch 1, hdc* in last st. working in back of chains, sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, sl st in last two. sl st to 1st st to join. Fasten off. Sew flag onto top of quarter note.

Two Connected Eighth Notes
Make 2 quarter notes that have the 2 st shorter stem.
-Ch 11. dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. (9)
Sew each quarter note to bottom of bar.

Plarn Bag

One day I got into plarn, which if you don't know what that is you should really look into it of you want to expand your crocheting to greater fields, and decided that I wanted a shoulder bag. None of the patterns that I found online were suitable for my needs so I decided to create my own. Since I wrote this pattern without the idea that I would share it, some parts might not make too much sense but feel free to ask me any questions and I will try to help you out as best as I can. ;)

Plarn Bag

 

-First you are going to have to create your plarn. There are many good articles and videos online on how to do this so I am not going to say it all again. Once you do that, then proceed.

For that bag I used two different colors of bags, traditional brown bags and then white bags. When I connected the loops of bag to make the plarn I just used one entire white bag and then one entire brown bag, so then it looked like variegated yarn. Then I just crocheted the pattern like normal.

-Chain 41.
-1 sc in second chain from hook and in each ch across. 2 sc in same st (so three altogether in the very first ch) and 39 sc across the back of the ch, with two in the last st (so three altogether in that one). (82 sc)
-40 sc, inc, 40 sc, inc. (84 sc)
-41 sc, inc, 31 sc, inc. (86 sc)
-42 sc, inc, 42 sc, inc, 2 sc. (90 sc)

For the rest of the bag you alternate between a) and then b)
a) 2 rows of *ch 3, sk sc, sc* around
b) 4 rows of sc around

Make it so it is as long as you want and then decide on what kind of handle (length and width) you want and attach your plarn to one side of the bag. Sc in the number of stitches that you want your handle to be wide and then ch 1, turn, and sc across until the handle is as long as you want it. Sl st to other side of bag.

Start of the crochet patterns!

Well I promised that I would post the patterns that I have written so far so I'm getting to it. First though I would like to share some of the things that I have made from other pattern writers, of coarse putting my own twist to their pattern, but the credit is all theirs.

I don't know who wrote this pattern but it is a great fedora hat crochet pattern that I found free on the web.

This is Inuyasha that I made from a basic body pattern that I also found free on the web and just decided what colors I wanted everything. The ears should have been white though. =/

This bib I made from a simple bib pattern that was on the web and I added that phrase for my niece who's Dad is an engineer.

Those are just a few. I don't have all my pictures with me unfortunately though. Maybe some other time! =D

Coming up!

So in the future I plan to post some crochet patterns I have written. When I can't find a good free pattern online I write my own and will share them with you. These can be used for your own projects and you can sell the final product. Please give me credit for the patterns though and refer people back to my blog for copies of their own. I would love for you to post pics of how you use my patterns. =D
